Ok, IMO Bletchley Park Riddle lacked magic and emotional weight. But it’s a perfect high-interest book for 9-12s. It’s an interactive page-turner and immerses you in war-time Britain… but yes, I didn’t fall in love with the characters or the story and that’s a-okay. WHAT TO READ NEXT…
Finished Intermezzo. Ivan was such a wonderful character, also ♥️’d the ending and how it captured the nuances of living with complicated relationships, finding beauty in their tensions. But, gotta say, I still prefer R’s previous book - the letters perfectly punctuated her prose and I missed them.
