I was just sitting here thinking that I might enter a fest or do something fun soon to get back into the swing of writing while Iām on maternity leave

3:30am and Iām up with a constipated newborn. Send help.
Day 2 of maternity leave and Iām pleased to announce that my nesting urge has FINALLY kicked in and I have the energy to Get Shit Done. Probably helps that baby got given an eviction notice yesterday, so now Iām counting down to my induction date!
I hate being sick as much as the next person, but being pregnant and sick is another level because I can no longer take everything that made me feel better before. I just want some industrial strength cold and flu tablets to knock me out
