Rumours of a decline in takeup for #history have been circling for a while. However, the data shared today around GCSE and A Level entries demonstrates history is up in both: www.tes.com/magazine/new...
Good news for #historyteachers!
Why does it matter that we recognise the contribution of #ITT #ECT #mentors in our schools? Because what they do is vital.
Proud @htenuk.bsky.social are shining a light on their important work.

The weather is unbelievable. Two weeks' ago temperatures of 33°C in Notts. Today, icy hail stones descending from on high.
So, the thing about being super organised and scheduling emails to be sent during the school run is that when you get back from school run you are confronted by an inbox of emails requiring actions.
So turns out my school visits didn't just leave me with a warm glow and sense that the kids are alright. They also left me with an absence of voice, much to the joy of my family this weekend. Currently praying for an overnight miracle ahead of another school visit tomorrow!
I would strongly recommend anyone involved in education to give this a listen. It provides an excellent insight into the work of multi agency services working with vulnerable young people

Delightful message from a #mentor tonight saying how much progress their #ITT student has made since my visit as everything has clicked, so I made a positive phone call home (rang the student to lavish them with praise). Now we all feel good. It's a positivity triangle. We need more of this!
Good to see @htenuk.bsky.social here too! We have an AGM online next week. Follow to find out more.
