Only a fragment, yet it still stops you in your tracks: A small survival from Amarna, where art got radically, gloriously strange under Akhenaten. Dating to around 1353–1336 BC 📷 Metropolitan Museum
A view down the ruined Long Gallery at beautiful Kirby Hall, Northamptonshire. Part of the house is still roofed, part is a ruin…and it’s all very beautiful 🥰 Kirby’s an elegant 16th century home, with a few 17th century amendments and quite a lot of 18th century additions. Recommend a visit!

Denby imperial blue china was on our wedding list, 35 years ago. We've used it pretty much every day. I've regularly restocked to make up for breakages. And today I bought my last cereal bowls from their final clearance sale. This feels like a real tragedy - such a great company.
