Thrilled to share that my first-author paper is now published in Nature Communications! đ Huge thanks to my PI, Dr. Drew Bridges (@bridgesbio.bsky.social), my collaborators, and all the incredible lab members for their support throughout this project

Had a chance to present my work at the Gordon Research Conference on Microbial Adhesion and Signal Transduction. I'm so grateful for this opportunity to listen to inspiring talks, make new connections, receive advice, and engage in meaningful discussions in such a dynamic and supportive environment!
We show that outer membrane stresses activate the DbfQRS pathway, rewiring global gene expression across biofilms regulation, central metabolism, and stress responses, with measurable fitness costs in an infection model - highlighting DbfQRS as a potential target for anti-infective strategies
Check out our lab's latest work in @plos.bsky.social, which reveals biofilm dispersal patterns using FAP-fluorogen labeling approach.

In this work, we identify DbfQ, a small periplasmic protein that serves as a key regulator of the DbfRS two-component system, coordinating broad physiological adaptations in Vibrio cholerae.
