On the east coast, the far right lane is now for passing. I so enjoy driving the speed limit in the correct lane for my upcoming exit and have someone fly up on me doing 90 only to cut back over 3 lanes to get back in the left lane.
Surely this went through the NEPA process (as all projects utilizing federal dollars are required) and the noise, light and every other impact was evaluated. This would fall under socioeconomic impacts. Is your project going to impact any surrounding residences or businesses?
Because they are special and whatever they need to do is far more important that anyone else’s personal safety.
