I want all the Europeans trying American food for the first time to have a blood panel done when they get home.
Today I’m remembering the very last people in America to be freed from chattel slavery, who were not the Texans who learned of the Emancipation Proclamation on this day in 1865, but thousands of people in Delaware, Kentucky and New Jersey, who were freed by the 13th six months later.
Same office that covered up prosecutor's crimes in the Broadview Six case just covered up a police shooting. Feds said a teen beat up a cop before he's shot. They have clear video evidence showing the kid just squirmed away from him. They hid it from the judge. Judge just set a sanctions hearing.
Anyone who thinks the government should be run like a business should run neither the government nor a business.
Can we finally all agree that the argument “we should run the country like a business, and therefore elect businessmen to run it” has been a failed experiment?
That applies to literally every billionaire/trillionaire on the planet as well, btw.
