She was like, you're taking a picture of me? I'm going to report you & your business so have fun with that! (I just laughed, cuz the only "business" we were advertising was Kidical Mass). My husband turned to her & said, you really saved a lot of time pulling that dangerous pass.
The road opens a bit more before the petro, so she ended up passing us SO close. So our friends took a picture of her license plate & she also just happened to have rolled down her window to yell at us about that so he also got her face in it.

Yesterday, after Kidical Mass, we were heading to Two House for lunch with friends and were biking along Gladstone Rd NW to get to 14th street and connect to the pathway by the river. This SUV was waiting at to turn onto Gladstone from a side street and ended up behind us. #yycbike 🧵
It was so intimidating. My husband slowed down even more to put some distance between her car & Everly. & I said, "there's not enough room to pass", over my shoulder. She just kept revving her engine. It was literally 2 blocks until we would get to 14th street and then we would be out of her way.
I had Ev (5) beside me & my husband was just behind her & then Anni (8) was riding ahead with our two friends. I could see the car moving over to pass us in my mirror, but there wasn't enough room so I moved over more to discourage her close passing us. She started REVVING her engine behind us.

The safest way to cycle through a busy roundabout is to bypass it altogether.
Design for comfort, and people of all ages will cycle.
