Here me out... its the animators loving Stolas more over the years and putting it into the animation. When I look at a lot of other shows, the "style-match" fanart oftentimes can look much more polished because the fans actually love the characters while animators may sometimes just be doing a job.

obviously every season gets an animation upgrade and everyone is looking so gorgeous but WHAT are the animators putting in the water, genuinely what is the secret difference making Stolas look SO BEAUTIFUL in this short and the teaser?? something has changed and he’s so hot
