As EU–Indonesia cooperation deepens, human rights, labour standards, supply chain due diligence, and environmental protection must be at the forefront of our engagement.
Just last week, Parliament adopted a resolution raising concerns over shrinking civic space, restrictions on freedom of expression, and growing repression of human rights defenders, journalists, and environmental activists, and ongoing violence in Papua and West Papua.
