What do you think of "continuation" fiction? My guests, Luke @lukedeckard.bsky.social & Matt @matthewboothauthor.bsky.social, consider Robert B. Parker's two novels featuring Chandler's Philip Marlowe. Apple buff.ly/wDl4xnB Podbean buff.ly/wk2LnPK Spotify buff.ly/34bRrLu YouTube shorturl.at/Cj5rC
Watching these two in my favourite screen version of The Hound of the Baskervilles. A reminder of just how good - not to say superb - Cushing and Morell were as Holmes and Watson. A shame we didn't get to see them in the roles again. #sherlockholmes #hammerfilms #TheHoundOfTheBaskervilles
Very pleased to say that my new Everett Carr novel, A Sudden Vengeance, is now available in paperback and ebook, published by Level Best Books. If you like character-driven traditional murder mysteries, you'll love my Everett Carr series.

Robert Altman's THE LONG GOODBYE divides Chandler fans and critics. I asked mystery authors @lukedeckard.bsky.social and @matthewboothauthor.bsky.social for their opinion. (Full disclosure: I love it) Apple buff.ly/wDl4xnB Podbean buff.ly/wk2LnPK Spotify buff.ly/34bRrLu YouTube shorturl.at/Cj5rC
I asked @lukedeckard.bsky.social and @matthewboothauthor.bsky.social to choose their 10 favourite Noir books. Raymond Chandler penned three of them. Who is your favourite author of hardboiled fiction? Apple buff.ly/wDl4xnB Podbean buff.ly/wk2LnPK Spotify buff.ly/34bRrLu YouTube shorturl.at/Cj5rC

I had a wonderful weekend at Alibis in the Archive at the fabulous Gladstone’s Library. It was so lovely to meet everyone and chat about all aspects of crime fiction, and of course Victorian detectives and their sleuthing skills. A fantastic experience!

At the wonderful Gladstone's Library for this year's Alibis in the Archives crime festival, but got here early to work on the next Everett Carr mystery. And, of course, the latest Everett Carr novel, A Sudden Vengeance, is now available to buy, published by Level Best Books...
OUT NOW! My new Everett Carr mystery, in which Carr is in a race against time to find a ruthless killer who appears to strike at random. Can Carr survive long enough to bring the killer to justice? Fan of Agatha Christie, Dorothy L Sayers, or PD James? Check out Carr and the rest of the series!
