The problem is this current court has increasingly shown itself to not only be hyper partisan, but also uninterested in being held by precedent. Any steps to address these issues can and likely would be declared unconstitutional by this court should it hurt the GOP's chances of winning an election.
The funny thing about Ken and other Planter defenders is that they aren't really doing anything new. In previous sex scandals there were always people willing to announce that men had uncontrollable sex drives (it's just usually the people they were defending didn't have Nazi tattoos).
A weapons company is not an army. And in any event, those assets are overwhelmingly located in the US, a country Thiel has just fled in terror.
And in any event, do you have any idea how many troops Thiel would need to rule Argentina by force? There aren't enough mercs in the whole world!
