Record breaking high temperatures and very little snow has given us the lowest snowpack on record in the Colorado mountains.
Much of the western U.S. will likely be in severe drought this year.

It is also surprising that the allegedly aggressive Iranian drone was shot down by an F-35 rather than shipboard weapons systems.
It sounds more like the drone was loitering over the carrier long enough that a jet could be launched or a jet that was returning could intercept.
Shooting down an aircraft in international airspace because it "aggressively" approached a ship operating in international waters.
This is not the first time Iran has flown drones near our carriers, but it's the first time I'm aware of that we have shot one down because of it.
