I still have 7 months to go, which is a lot of weeks to find inverts for, so any recommendations are appreciated! The weirder and kinkier, the better.
Since my neighbors have been making my house shake the entire day long because they're having their roof power washed, I'm begging everyone to read the moss chapter in my book, Nature Obscura. You don't have to waste money and water and make your neighbors angry. You can let the moss grow!

I'm having a hard time finding more kinky invertebrates, so please let me know if anyone knows of any interesting invert mating that I haven't covered yet. Most of what I'm finding are the same inverts (mantis, stag beetle, etc.) so I'm really digging to find more obscure invert sex.
I'm logging off indefinitely, dunno if/when I'll be back. I won't be checking DMs while I'm off so contact me by other methods if you need something.
Every time I've given a book talk I take moss from my roof and look for tardigrades live under a digital microscope. Every single time, I've found them. It's not hypothetical, there ARE tardigrades and other microscopic moss animals living on your roof. You can live under thousands of tardigrades!
