This reminds me of that anecdata from a CEO who said he slashed the marketing budget by half to see what would happen, and sales went up because marketing had to ditch a bunch of expensive stuff they'd always done and innovated. Bad news for US influence abroad though...

Apple can be really smart. Removing the backlight for the cheaper Neo must cause a not insignificant number of people to make the same choice as you, maintaining sales of higher-margin devices while keeping the door open to a fully-fledged MacOS experience for the masses. Kudos.

Reddit is the only social media platform I genuinely like. Among the reasons - it's topic focused, replies are more usually treated as discussion rather than rebuttal, and perhaps most importantly it has a downvote button. Bluesky needs a downvote button.
