This reminds me of that anecdata from a CEO who said he slashed the marketing budget by half to see what would happen, and sales went up because marketing had to ditch a bunch of expensive stuff they'd always done and innovated. Bad news for US influence abroad though...
Reddit is the only social media platform I genuinely like. Among the reasons - it's topic focused, replies are more usually treated as discussion rather than rebuttal, and perhaps most importantly it has a downvote button. Bluesky needs a downvote button.
I don't do alt-text, which I'm slightly ashamed about. NYT does. (Is it AI generated? Not that that's a problem – couldn't AI be baked into Bsky pic-alt posting?) But, interestingly, while their text is very descriptive of the scene, there are no player names, which seems like a missed opportunity.
Ooof. Bluesky is *very* Bluesky today. Lots of angry people, overly hot takes, false binaries, and outright judginess. Gonna make like 14yo once the Government has its way and skip social media today...
