the problem with trying to research differences is that like, yeah I can see online people going "oh yeah the fan translation is better than the official one" but its always a 50/50 (generously) if thats even slightly true
wondering if I should play the PS2 or DS version of DQV... The PS2 version has fully orchestrated music and a cute 3D art style, while the DS version has extra content and an official translation...
from what I know, DQ5 is another one that people really like, so I'm excited to get to it next, but man, this game's hero and antagonist are up there for me I think
just finished DQ4. Pretty fuckin good game! Interesting structure in the first chunk, and a main antagonist that feels really like, "present" throughout the narrative instead of just this looming threat people tell you about
