They want "socialism" but think everyone else doesn't, they are thinking about the mythical swing voter in their heads. We all make fun of Chuck Schumer, and rightly so, but the median Democrat is thinking about the Baileys all the fucking time.
A new poll from the New York Times shows potential Democratic voters want the party to move to the right, are happy with where it is ideologically, and rate socialism highly. Huh?
