I actually think this bears repeating:
Our Director of National Intelligence was just shown to *literally be taking secretive orders about what precisely to do and say in politics* from a scary cult leader in Hawaii
And it wasn’t even front-page news
How am I supposed to react to this?
What tantrum? She endorsed him. Why is it also on her to campaign for him? He has an entire team already dedicated to that, plus the support of the DNC. It's Talarico's responsibility to earn enough votes to win by running an excellent campaign, isn't it? That's what I was told after Kamala's loss.
And if you still argue "I'm in favor of antisemites being destroyed," then it is incumbent upon YOU to explain how you intend to accomplish that destruction without at least the risk of violent war & significant collateral damage when the antisemites are both armed & deeply entrenched.
This is obviously not a blanket permission to engage in unrestricted hostilities, and we can have a whole discussion about the degree to which it is more incumbent upon Jews to live with violent antisemites who want them dead to avoid excess casualties.
But admit that's what you're saying, friend.
The belief that art requires a life of struggle is also bad
Ig white leftists are mad at Jasmine Crockett for not campaigning harder for Talarico, just like they're mad at Kamala for not "doing more" to stop Trump.... seems like they really want Black women's labor without actually giving them any power or authority... interesting, that
To circle back to my POINT, it's obscene to expect Crockett to do the work of the DNC, Talarico, and Talarico's staff. No one's asking Tom Steyer to campaign for Xavier Bacerra. He made his statement supporting Bacerra and that was enough. Crockett made her statement & that should be enough too.
