For digital art - learn post processing. Tone curves, adjustment layers, gradient maps, white balance, vignettes, etc.
Crop tighter.
Sketch on gray, not white. Render on a base color, not white.
Liquify and mesh transform exist to be used.
If it works it ain't dumb.
meanwhile, here's something I drew in like 2013 where I wasn't thinking about any of that: it's not BAD but it's VERY obviously digital, because its quirks are all digital quirks haha
