Liberals flipped Wisconsin’s supreme court in 2023, gaining a 4-3 majority that they defended last year in an extravagantly expensive election bankrolled by Elon Musk. A liberal win this year could expand that majority, and secure it until 2030.
If the 4th-largest economy in the world (and reliably blue state) elects a Republican as governor, it will have been a) entirely self-inflicted by Dems, b) entirely avoidable, and c) the first time since Schwarzenegger in 2002, and before that, Pete Wilson in 1990. Nobody footballers like Democrats.
JFC, @corybooker, you shouldn’t need me to remind you that *so much abhorrent, unacceptable behavior* gets given a pass under the “they’re good people in private” BS that permeates official DC culture. Watch what they DO, not what they might say to you in the cloakroom. And quit giving them cover.
Anyone know if Andrew Cuomo has moved to Florida yet?
Willard Scott isn’t around, but thankfully Today had Al Roker wish Gene a happy 100th this morning. Truly an icon.
Booker reminds me of nothing so much as this old Robert Frost quote. And to think, there was a time when New Jersey Dems could have chosen a literal rocket scientist to be their Senate nominee. www.goodreads.com/quotes/88938...

Fourteen since 1/1. Here at the end of March, if you believe this is an accurately reported count, that’s almost perfectly one per week. That we KNOW of www.reuters.com/world/mexica...
You owe that much to your constituents and to the American people generally, much more than you owe 99 other Senators your collegial cover for their horrible actions you yourself say you oppose. Name, shame and pillory — or for chrissakes, get out of the way for someone who will.

They all live there; they should know not to pack the field so tight that the top two choices are both Republicans. FOCUS, people.

In the April election, Wisconsin liberals are hoping to expand their majority on a body that could be a critical backstop for voting rights during the next presidential race.
