Frankly, I want to divest SCOTUS of jurisdiction to enter *any* orders reversing a lower court without a complete elaboration of the reasons why. They are the least busy judges in America with a self-selected workload. If they can't bother to explain it, they should not do it.

Whenever federal court reform comes around, it can't be only SCOTUS expansion, limiting of jurisdiction, ethics reform etc. It has to be dealing the shadow docket and limiting to actual emergencies.

BREAKING: In an unsigned, per curiam opinion on the shadow docket, the SCOTUS conservatives allow Alabama to use a congressional map held repeatedly by a lower court to have been enacted with discriminatory intent.
