Quantitude the Podcast
I (and my colleagues) thought closing the course was a bad idea, because we felt it had value. Then they put me in charge of the course, and then I thought it was a much better idea.
Susan Embretson told a story about Paul Meehl at last year's Psychometric Society conference (which was held in Minnesota). (This is from memory so it may not be 100% accurate).
Meehl also studied wrote (favorably) about ESP, telepathy, and similar stuff. Which you don't hear mentioned very often.
Meehl hung up the phone and didn't speak to her again.
