There was too much social risk to naming things directly growing up and this withholding–skirting around the hurt–became a sort of narrative technique.

PART 1: A Body Made of Seeing (2015) is an older short comic I’m still fond of. A lot of my older work is shaped through negative space; getting close to the crux of pain and emphasizing its contours rather than trying to compact it into the most focused presentation.
