I have not heard of RS Benedict before and I am a fairly eclectic reader. Now, thanks to your post, I will make sure to intentionally avoid her writing and also be sure to discourage anyone else from exposing themselves so such a shit person’s literary works. I’ve seen all I care to from her.
I remember her trying to start shit with T. Kingfisher, and when other writers called her out on it, she started rambling about Raytheon for no reason and acted like she was morally superior.

No one was claiming 10 years ago that your phone OS adapting to your Swype input or saving past typed inputs to update your autocorrect was "AI."
I'm a Computer Science major, and I took AI and ML classes in college. What counts as AI is super nebulous because absolutely NONE of it is actually intelligent.
They're all just algorithms, some of which iteratively refine the output for a given set of inputs which gets called "learning".
