Or… is it called a ‘reflecting pool’ because visitors are meant to gaze into it and reflect upon the lives and sacrifices of the men and women memorialized up and down this portion of the National Mall?
RIP Walter Parazaider. Chicago (well, the early stuff, anyway) is one of my favorite bands.
Why is it called the “Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool”? It seems to me it was build long and skinny to reflect the Washington Monument.
Fascinating thread. Coincidentally, it demonstrates once again the administration’s failure to enlist/hire people with the necessary expertise to plan and execute a project. Expertise and understanding save money and lives, while incompetence and corruption beget catastrophe.
