We have put a plan in place to drive down long waits and improve our NHS – and it is working.
Today's statistics show long waits are continuing to fall for nine months in a row and activity is up.
More to do, and I am determined to see our plan through.
We are ready! 🏴
Today I attended the 81st Memorial Service for my Uncle, Cpl Thomas Hunter, killed at Lake Comacchio in Italy on 3 April 1945, and posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross.
He sacrificed his life to save his colleagues and to give us peace. Always remembered.
Fabulous day on the March for Independence and to share the stage with the legend that is Brian Cox.

The SNP is clear: energy powers should be firmly in Scotland’s hands.
Fantastic turnout and incredible energy today. Scotland will be independent. 🏴

For real change, Scotland needs the full powers of independence. Make it #BothVotesSNP on May 7th. 🏴
Across Europe, independent nations of Scotland's size are building stronger economies and fairer societies.
Scotland has every ingredient to do the same.
With the fresh start of independence, we can unlock the potential of everyone who lives here.
