But rather than a homogeneous group, these 'addicted' adolescents comprise three distinct profiles: a 'social' profile (74%), a 'risk behaviour' profile (10%) and a 'low wellbeing' profile (16%). Understanding this diversity may help inform more targeted interventions.

🚨New preprint🚨 Available here: osf.io/preprints/ps... Do adolescents who report feeling addicted to social media share a single behavioural-emotional profile? We analysed data from >7,000 UK adolescents and found, strikingly, that **47%** feel addicted to social media.
