Day 10 #30dayswild the male blackbird was 'chuck chucking' away as he fed to let the female know his location. She came over on the ground & he drops food twice to her. Lush to witness a non-human species communicating so clearly 🐦🐦

The pyramidal orchid displays bright pink flowers in a dense, pyramid-shaped cluster at the top of its stem.
Fun fact: Orchid seeds do not store enough food to grow on their own, so they team up with a mat-forming fungus in the soil. In turn, the orchid’s roots protect the fungus.

The cup-shaped flowers of Water avens have dark red sepals that surround orangey-pink petals and a cluster of yellow stamens; they hang delicately on long, purple stems. The round leaves are usually found at the base of the stem.
