People be real trauma victims ya know. You living your cushy life in the burbs, no harm you couldn’t brush off has ever come to you. You see someone living a life of severe trauma, you see them offer proof for help, & you think, no way it can be real. Sorry, folks are really in hell unlike you.
Rent is time sensitive. Medical needs are time sensitive. Food is time sensitive.
There are processing times, he may have emergencies the money has to go towards. There is no guarantee that money will go towards them.
We need to do better.
In the video he also shared the venmo of someone who needed rent and her son's epi pen.
And it was really frustrating to see so many large amounts of money sent to the creator despite him saying he was okay.
We gotta start helping people directly.

I just watched a video of a larger content creator I follow talking about the MA funds he is sent and how he struggles choosing who to help because he can't help them all. Which is great, I wish more of them would, but 🧵
I get why I don't get a lot of help other than a few super kind people because all in all I'm pretty privileged. But to continue to ignore those who are starving, homeless, and/or need their meds is just plain EVIL.

Some folks will only donate their money to others if it benefits them in anyway. Like if the person entertains them or if they find them attractive. If you don't fall into either category they don't care.
A person shouldn't have to be either to get the help they need, they deserve help regardless.
