I want to write this weekend but I’m not sure I’ll get the chance.
Managed another 1,000 words today. My protagonist enjoyed her night out and is now back home 😆
#Caturday
My Dad’s writing a profile of David Hume for a talk he’s giving about a manse he’s renovating in my late granny’s garden (long story) & he’s asked me to help cos I studied philosophy at uni, and this is the coolest collab between me & my Dad so that’s why I mightn’t have time for my own WIP this w/e
So it’s all good really 🤗
Also, me and Ellie have to rehearse for a gig, so that’s quite cool too 🎵🎶🎵
TODAY I LEARNT SOMETHING GENUINELY IMPORTANT!
If you need to move a snail (like, to prevent it getting trodden on), don’t just pick it up by its shell because that stretches and hurts them! 😭😭😭
Instead, gently tap its shell so it first retracts inside. Then you can lift it without hurting it ❤️
One topic I've seen lately is about an author's back catalog.
I believe an author should always be writing. Always.
But being proud of your past works and calling attention to them is a good thing.
This goes triple for self-published and indie authors.
Your oldest book is someone's first read.
