Glasgow Cathedral has a set of doors which received wisdom says are medieval. I’m a little sceptical, but AFAIK there is no typology of medieval Scottish joinery/carpentry, so English analogies are all we have.

As I was leaving the cathedral, I spotted this door, which a nice guide told me let to the triforium. It was struck but the great width of the boards, but then spotted some ?staining which might be wood grain, or perhaps an applied decorative scheme. I’m on the case to find out more!
