I haven't been very active on here lately, but I'm planning to change that. I miss having some real interactions on socials.
I've been dipping my toes outside of WP and seeing what else is out there, taking my experience from Autoblue and turning it into a social scheduler SaaS.
Everyone is building AI agents right now, and I'm dabbling a bit as well. Is there a clear favorite so far or not really?
I've been trying out Laravel for a few apps this year, and it's so good. The DX is great.
But WP is my baby and I can't keep myself away from it.
My main goal: shipping more and shipping faster. Code is no longer the bottleneck it used to be, and while it's a bit scary I'm also enjoying this new reality.
Weekend project: a minimal Harvest clone with clients, projects and time tracking. I just can't still these days 😂
I've been spending time this week next to client projects to building a new super simple time tracker called Tide. Will be launching it soon, aim is to replace Harvest for my personal use.
It's so nice how WordPress just keeps shipping great updates. Loads of improvements in the first two months of the year, and full steam ahead on AI as well.
For context: I've been using Harvest for YEARS, paying for it almost mindlessly. All I really use is time tracking and invoicing, and with the PE acquisition I don't expect it to get any better.
I'd also like to add an MCP server, so I can tell my OpenClaw "hey, add 3 hours to project X for task Y"

I'm playing around with Laravel and it's actually so incredibly well set up for AI-assisted development.
There's some really good tools, official packages for almost everything, and with Laravel being extremely idiomatic the AI is really good at implementing it all.
Autoblue 1.0 is out, officially out of beta and now with support for self-hosted PDS instances! 🎊
