Assuming a full 50% cut to Development Charges in Toronto, that would bring DC's back in-line with 2019, just as they started to grow enormously. Combined with last week's HST exemption this hopefully helps unstick the industry. Reminder: if nothing's built, cities get $0 in DC's anyways

Carney, Ford, Chow and at least one determined heckler with a megaphone are on scene today to announce a 50% cut to development charges for the next three years. Lost Municipal revenue to be offset by an $8.8 billion federal/provincial fund for infrastructure.
