Too much work on and not feeling like I’m on top of any of it. Beginning to think it’s time to move on somewhere new as nothing looks like changing.
If Burnham wins the by-election tomorrow, I’d hope he’d then focus on Labour retaining the GM Mayoralty, that he gave up to pursue his own ambition. Any challenge for the PM can wait until later in the summer, if it has to happen at all.

I’m very lucky that my employer has a good value first class fare with LNER between Newcastle & London. Oddly, few other routes have the option under our travel policies but it makes a big difference when on a near 3-hour journey. I’ve even felt able to travel there & back on the same day before.
A somewhat annoying journey down the A1 today with too many drivers showing poor lane discipline - hogging the middle and outer lanes and leaving the near use lane largely empty. Then I saw other drivers aggressively undertaking and making things even more dangerous.
