I don't "really hate him," but I was happy to call out Nazis in the GOP and I'm not gonna pretend that the guy was too stupid to know he was wearing an SS symbol for years. Combined with his other views (on women esp) I think he deprives Dems of the high ground they need for the fight with Trump.

When you join up to get in the action, you haven't been "sent." I have always hated the phrasing that tries to make all post-1991 deployments like Vietnam, with boys being drafted and sent to some faraway war.

What is the desire for fascism you are seeing? People are ok with an indistinct tattoo, (if you have a clear photo please show me) and say grabbing someone’s wrist is different than systematically raping children.
It’s up to Maine, but the thing abt Platner is that if he were a Republican running for the House, Collin’s would have nothing to say about his past behavior and awful tattoo. Nada. And he’s nothing like Roy Moore whose world view includes baked-in patriarchy. Never Trumpers REALLY hate him. Hmmm?
Whether to support Platner seems kind of like the decision Republicans had to make in 2016 regarding Trump. Both Platner and Trump are narcissistic clowns with no relevant experience. Do you blindly support a team or take a stand against sending an unqualified idiot to DC?
