All these layoffs are painful to watch. There are companies like Valve, which have been working for decades to enable and support us artists by letting us carve our own path. I'm not happy that my success is governed by the algorithm there, but at least noone is going to fire me if I succeed.

So I had to live with this a few days before I commit. The character moves slower on the edge. Isometric platforming is hard so I do think this helps a little. But of course, this means the animation system gets upgraded yet again! #gamedev #unity3d #solodev #indiegame
I'm experimenting with a feature that has been on my mind for a while: Reducing walking speed when the player walks along edges. Of course for the grown ups, this feature is disabled when running. #gamedev #indiegame #solodev
