So I didn’t make my point clear. I’m not saying new writers should address that cliffhanger. They prob won’t. I’m saying, either way, it’s baggage a special would have tied off,which would then make DW more attractive to new producers/distributors, which is what the BBC is looking for right now.

The decision to cancel the Doctor Who Xmas Special is wild because I ASSUMED they were going to shop for new producers AFTER anyways & this was just a way to give them a clean start. Now any new writers will have to pick up RTD's Billie Piper nonsense which makes the property much less attractive.
