Demonstrations sometimes turn violent but if you’re turning up in a balaclava specifically to burn houses and throw paving stones at the police are you really a “demonstrator” or “protester” or are you something else?
Were the Russians who carried out pogroms against Jews protesters? Were the white Americans who lynched black men protesters? Then nor are these people. Spare us the euphemisms
