#PretendPanel 6/6:
I'm going to pick my top five little details from #TSWBOO:
1) Ghathi Theater
This is a form of underwater opera/ballet in Reshketh culture that is meant to by physically felt as well as seen and heard. Tarek introduces Jenna to it via 3D recording and she LOVES it.
It's a delight to be ever more and more in the world I'm writing as all that first-drafting pays off and the world becomes more real and detailed.

I start big and go smaller, #pretendpanel. I plan first, but I keep it vague and categorical enough that I'm not boxing myself in. The true shape of the story shows itself between the cracks in the plan.

The first version of this the magical girls were all in their 20s. Their leader, Scarlet Star (not Ruby Star as she would become by draft 2) was worn out and cynical to the point where she nearly strikes out against new allies because she cannot recognise anything but persistent threat anymore
