Genuinely guys I ran out of characters but I just feel so impossibly blessed today
All the little things. Desperate at all times, indeed. The team we’ve all been waiting for.
Overwhelmed by the response here. I want to say something. I wanted to be a Knicks or Yankees beat writer growing up. I made different, more pragmatic choices. I regret nothing. But: if this meant something to you, and we got to share A Game Like That, you made a kid’s dream come true. Thank you.
5% of my brain is still saying “Please, not now, don’t do this to me now. Not from here.”
A hearty OAKAAK to Yabu, who let us make the Alvarado trade.
If anyone here has a basketball podcast and thinks their listeners would like to hear a 40 year old man cry a little bit while he babbles about meaning in a cold universe, hmu.
Thank you for all the kind words. This is how I feel:
The Knicks, Michael.
i have no say in the matter but if I did this would be in the 2026 edition of the best american sportswriting word to mehmet the conqueror
I started writing my recap down 21 in the second quarter because I didn’t want to stay up late. I just kept typing. I have not gone back and read or edited it. It’s 3400 words. Also, my house lost power when Castle was at the line at the end. Read it here: knickerblogger.net/2026/06/2026...
