we got to the end of chapter 3 and (spoilers ahead) the mom dies. That's why he stopped reading! The mom dying made him too scared or sad to keep reading. 🥹 I'm not mad about him wanting me to read it to him instead.
F was given a copy of Percy Jackson #1 at least a year ago, and he only read the first 3 chapters. It's now the book I'm reading to him at bedtime, and he's loving it. I couldn't figure out why he would have just stopped reading such an exciting book that's completely up his alley until (1/2)
