It sounds intimidating, but its all in the name of fun and motivation, and I don't know of anyone who takes the "winning" aspect of it seriously. You add characters to your profile, and people who want to "attack" you can choose which ones to draw.

I love it because I've discovered a ton of new artists through it, and made some friends along the way. Plus its just plain fun.
This year they have three teams instead of the typical two, due to it being the event's 10 year anniversary.
Its a yearly event where there are typically two teams. You join one of them, and then spend the month creating gift art for the opposing team's members, gaining points for your team based on the complexity of the pieces you create. At the end of the month, points are tallied and one team wins.
