1) Make Israel unpopular on a bipartisan basis in the US, and extremely unpopular among the opposition party (Dems) that will come into power
2) Engineer an outcome that will be the biggest single improvement in Iranian power since 2003
Three years ago he held the world's sympathy to a degree that could've been cynically milked for decades to cover for the apartheid.
Instead he squandered that in mere months, and has gone on to make the previously tolerated contradictions intolerable to allies. All for negative progress.
