(or he might have had epilepsy and late-Medieval chroniclers didn't want to say this)
The inevitable behind the scenes exposé of the RTD2 era is going to be fascinating, because so much of what is on screen is very clearly an output of production issues.

Is that a Kill La Kill reference?!

Everyone including people coming forward about Noel Clarke says Tennant is a model professional but when the only actor you can keep is the one who wants to do this job, and specifically this job, since age 8, and everyone who just auditioned for it as a role walks away, you might have a problem

Latest version of this I've learned from a museum we've just been around, "Charles VIII of France died at the age of 27 after bashing his head on a lintel of a door on the way to watch a game of real tennis".
Currie is a good example of someone who is unquestionably on the right but has always had a very settled world view and has that sort of stubborn, set in their way personality that also means they are oddly resilient to the corrupting influence of social media. Ken Clarke is the same.
Shut up! All this stupid little country has to do is stand in line and do what it's told for one miserable day! But can it do that? My fragrant French ass it can!
This did happen the first time around, of course. Eccleston also left because of what a nightmare the first series was but you can put some of that down to it being a proper risk with being a true reboot. It’s also just a lot more challenging to do anything like this in the social media era.

I’d love a long-read in a few years about what an absolute shitshow the second RTD era has been. I don’t think it’s any one person’s specific fault but it just seems to have been a calamity in every single way.
