Sorry to re-up this, but the media silence on the massive, country-changing shift towards arbitrary justice and authoritarianism is almost the most astonishing aspect of the case. The new dispensation is being normalised even as it's happening.

And in this case the reality could not be starker: Black and Brown people, women, LGBTQ people and leftwing protesters continue to suffer discrimination by the police and justice system. The last people who will ever find themselves on the wrong side of two-tier justice are rightwing white men.
