What will be the moat going forward? Looks like only distribution (audience) will provide a competitive advantage?
Always keep in mind that all your posts can and will be used by all kinds of actors for all kinds of purposes.
AI/ML is one use case, and that's also one of the reasons why X put their API behind an expensive paywall.
Bsky is a public network/protocol and offers a free API.
One commit a day, keeps procrastination away.
Agree. I had the same thought yesterday.
Currently there's less posts that compete for your attention due to lower user numbers.
When the user base increases posts will increase as well and this will result in more posts competing for your _limited_ attention.
We are the bottle neck.
Here's a nice little tool for bsky: clearsky.app
It helps you see:
- Who you've blocked
- Who blocked you
- What starter packs you're part of
- All posts of all accounts (even those that blocked you)

I decided to offer the limited lifetime deal also as part of Black Friday.
Deciding on a price was not easy because I lack enough long-term data like customer lifetime value (LTV).
So I just went with my gut feeling. It's limited to 10 spots anyway. Don't overthink it.

Hi, so I've spent the past almost-decade studying research uses of public social media data, like e.g. ML researchers using content from Twitter, Reddit, and Mastodon.
Anyway, buckle up this is about to be a VERY long thread with lots of thoughts and links to papers. 🧵
Epic video, well done.
One thing that might effect the higher engagement on Blue Sky is the less saturated timeline compared to X.
Let's hope it stays that way!
Still thinking about a limited life-time deal.
Unsure whether I should make it part of Black Friday or introduce it later so it doesn't get drowned among all the Black Friday deals (maybe around Christmas).
Would be a one-time deal for a limited amount of users (~10).
Appreciate any feedback :)
