Took my students to see the

Elizabeth Hawes had such a rebellious spirit. I love this photograph of her alongside the beautifully constructed 1938 dress that she designed, the stripes of the cloth placed to create lovely fabric geometry @metmuseum.org #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡
you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love is incredible & a whole musical novel really (maybe it’s me, but I feel like “u + me = <3” is for the elder millennials w/ its ‘90s rom-com soundtrack vibes), but can we please talk about how “what’s wrong with me?” is a duet with THE Robert Smith himself?!
This mix is as dreamy and gorgeous as Shane says it is and is just the bit of joy needed for a slightly dreary Monday! 🎶❤️
Reading this wild and wonderful British Vogue profile of Jerry Hall makes me want to rewatch the A&E Biography of Nina Van Horn episode of Just Shoot Me! that she guest starred in as Nina’s former roommate.
“stupid song” is another favourite (“I'm a heart made of wax and I'm melting in the sun / I’m a thread on your shirt that is coming undone” are some great lyrics, no?), and the video for it just makes me love it even more. 🎶🩰❤️
They look as if they could be giving each other’s dresses the once over as they pass each other, one in bright pink, the other in jade green satin. Both are Givenchy with a flourish of feathers @metmuseum.org #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡
