going back to the original presentation (available at www.nebriefing.org/expert-brief...) there is rather more, such as a small increase in walking and cycling would save the NHS £17 billion. If you led healthier lives (diet, active travel) the NHS (and thus the economy) would save £126B (more..)
A bit of weirdness. Trying to book a DFDS ferry to France. If I have a car there is space. If I only have a bicycle it is sold out. I mean, bicycles only get shoved in corners...
Yesterday I attended the film showing highlights from the November National Emergency Briefing screened by Sustainable Hayfield. A lot on electrification and EVs, but only one diagram mentioning active travel and then only really about it's health impacts.
