…the junctions and crossings need to be correct from the start as they are where collisions are most likely to happen. A final thought is why build it anyway? The ‘Pennine Cycleway’ is hardly used and there are other potential routes in the Buxton area that would be far better places for the dosh.
1. There is not enough room for an island for pedestrians let alone a ‘design cycle’, and, 2. The footway is too narrow for a cyclist to turn their bike perpendicularly to the road. While I think it is reasonable to build substandard links as a short term measure, (more…)
